In order to preserve the unique character and integrity of our historic home, we invite you to review the following guidelines when planning your stay.

Parties, Events, and Guest Capacity Unless explicitly authorized by us and subject to an additional fee, only registered guests are permitted to stay on the property. If you are planning a special gathering, we are completely open to discussing it with you to help plan everything smoothly! Respecting the Historic Character of the House Our home is a testament to the past, and we wish for its history and original features to be respected:

• Furniture and Decor: Please handle furniture and decorative items with the utmost care. Many of them are antique and fragile. We ask that you do not move heavy furniture and avoid standing on the furniture.

• Floors: The original floors are a precious feature of the house. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing outdoor shoes inside or dragging heavy objects that could damage the floors. Clean and comfortable slippers are provided for your use. Comfort and relaxation guaranteed!

• Walls and Woodwork: It is strictly prohibited to hang anything on the walls, wallpaper, or woodwork, including any type of temporary adhesive. If you are celebrating a small birthday or anniversary, let us in on the secret, and we can guide you toward safe hanging solutions.

• Please note: In the event of damage beyond normal wear and tear, repair or replacement fees may be charged.

Cleanliness, Meal Preparation, and Maintenance We are happy to provide a kitchenette for you to prepare your meals. To this end, we ask that you keep the kitchen clean and tidy after use. Specifically, please place used utensils and plates in the dishwasher upon your departure.

To preserve the woodwork and historic furniture of Maison La Miellée, we ask that you avoid cooking highly odorous foods (bacon, deep-frying, fondue, etc.). These odors embed themselves permanently in antique materials and are strictly prohibited inside the house.

Everyday cooking (eggs, pasta, meats, etc.) can, of course, be done under the kitchenette's range hood; we simply ask that you ensure it is turned on for the entire duration of the cooking process.

We ask that you clean up any spills immediately to avoid damaging the surfaces. In the event of an incident requiring additional equipment, please contact us without delay.

Peace and Quiet To ensure a peaceful environment for everyone, we ask that you limit excessive noise, especially between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Failure to comply with this rule may result in a warning, followed by fees or eviction if the problem persists.

Non-Smoking Home Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. Please use the designated outdoor areas if you wish to smoke (the covered front porch or the backyard). Make sure to properly extinguish your cigarette butts and avoid smoking in front of open doors or windows.

Security and Emergency Contacts Please ensure that all doors and windows are locked when you leave the property in our absence.

A Guest Book is available at the main entrance of the house, detailing the essential numbers to call in an emergency. Additionally, floor plans are posted in strategic locations around the house, indicating fire safety equipment, the first aid kit, exit doors, and nearby water sources. We encourage you to locate these safety features upon your arrival.

Conduct and Mutual Respect We expect all our guests to maintain respectful conduct toward our home, the neighborhood, and the hosts. Any behavior deemed inappropriate, illegal, or likely to cause damage to the property could result in the immediate termination of the rental, without a refund.

Pets Given the historic character of our home and in consideration of our three calm but shy Yorkshire Terriers who live with us, guest pets (with the exception of guide dogs) are not allowed on the premises.

Check-in and Check-out We thank you for respecting the check-in and check-out times posted on your online booking platform so that we can be fully prepared to welcome you and show you around!

Please note that failure to comply with any of these rules may result in additional fees or the immediate termination of the rental, without a refund.
